Funny….and entertaining??

source

I’m sure one thing that each of us has in common is that we like to laugh and be entertained. When I get the opportunity to do both I jump all over it! On that note…a couple months ago the hubby bought us tickets to the Steve Martin bluegrass concert (Steve Martin and bluegrass you say??….yea…I did too). I was like….what?

Don’t get me wrong, I've always loved Steve Martin. He’s funny and seems like a really nice guy, but does he really write music and play the banjo? Why yes, yes he does and rather well I've come to find out!

It was like a combination of going to a laid back comedy club, a symphony show and a blue grass festival all rolled into one. He played with the Steep Canyon Rangers and they were backed up by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Sometimes it’s REALLY good to live in a large metropolitan city….

It was so nice to be able to have a grown up night out. We went to this really nice fish restaurant and then on to the concert. It’s amazing what a night life Atlanta is getting to have and the abundance of different restaurants. I’m sure we appreciate a night out a little more than most cause we obviously don’t do it all that often.

  2. I saw him on letterman and was so in awe of the music! I love blue grass and have a special place for banjos in my heart. This probably comes from being raised in the south! haha

    1. I hadn't been all that exposed to bluegrass before, but this kind was definately my style. I loved it and it was great to have some humor mixed in too.

  3. Yeah, I was really surprised about that, too, when I heard it on the radio last week. Well, those hidden talents, right? But I liked the song they played!
