We finally found a great floaty
for Hailey to use so we don’t have to hold onto her the entire time. (Ok, so it
took us several tries and the WHOLE summer to figure this out)

Anyways, back to our summer
long floaty tryouts. We tried rings, water wings, floaty bathing suits and finally
the Puddle Jumpers. This thing is ingenious. I hadn’t heard of them before, but last week
we took the kids to White Water (our local water park) and I saw all kinds of
toddlers with them on. (I actually stopped a couple moms and asked them about
them)
If you don’t know what they are…they
are arm floaties (water wings) that are attached to a float that goes around their
chest and it then buckles in the back. These things are super easy to put on and
comfortable for the kids. They are also approved by the US Coast Guard for use
as a flotation device for boats, etc.
Some parting pics of my little maniac running around White Water. Not exactly easy to take pics and keep her right there...
We had a long, fun day but the girls were whooped...can ya tell?
I had to add a pic of Hailey in her Puddle Jumper:

DeleteOh, Anissa! Hailey is a doll!!! I wish my babies were still babies! Enjoy every second of her being little, even the not so fun parts! So glad you found me and left me a msg. I'm following you on GFC and Twitter now!
ReplyDeleteThank you...I just love her to pieces. I am making the most of every moment with her...she is definately our last. It makes me sad to see her grow so darn fast.

Following from the mom mingle. So I also never heard of these floating until I went on vacation last month and every kid had them. Good to know for next year!
ReplyDeleteI took pics of her in it today...I've got to add them on here. They are awesome! (I know, I hadn't heard of them either till last week.)
DeleteThanks for the follow,
Anissa
Following you back. I have been to White Water, but it has been years ago. I think I must have been a teenager then.

ReplyDeleteNot quite sure where my reply went, but here it goes again! Thanks for the follow. My lil hambone just LOVES the water anyway she can get it (pool, beach, bath...she doesn't care)

This seems like a great alternative to the traditional floaties. When we were visiting the US last month we took my baby to her 1st pool experience. She liked it and I loved watching her. Following you now, Anissa, from the Naptime Review hop
ReplyDeleteThank you for the follow. I don't normally write reviews, but this was one I HAD to do. It's amazing the difference in seeing her in the pool with this.

We got Evieo ne of these and I think at 26 lbs she's still just too small! Next year! :)
ReplyDeleteHailey is probably still a little small for this as well, but it just works so darn good (she's right at 25 lbs.). At least it's something they can use for a couple years...they go up to 50 lbs. I believe.
