Need I say more??
Obviously I
must because my family refuses to listen to me that this child can say ANY and
I mean ANY word that we can. She may not know what it means, but she can say
it. Thank god most of the stuff she repeats is funny and harmless. The other
day riding in the car from school my 13 y.o. got irritated with Hailey and
looked at her and said “seriously.” Hailey looked right back at him and clear
as a bell said, “Seriously”. Needless to say we were rollin’ over that! I did,
however, use it as yet another reminder to the kids that this child’s
vocabulary is rapidly increasing and I’d like it to NOT include some choice
words.
Mommy obviously needs to
remember this as well…because ya’ll know that if I just happen to let something
leak out of my mouth in front of her she will repeat it and I will NEVER hear
the end of it! A couple weeks ago just Hailey and I were in the car and some
guy cut me off. Thankfully the only thing that came out of my mouth was “DUDE.”
LOL…she loves that word now…it now shows up on a regular basis. I don’t
know about ya’ll but when involved in a near miss with or without children in
the car I have been known to let much more explicit language out of my mouth.
What pearls of wisdom have your little ones gleaned from you lately?
Haha Anissa!!! She is too cute and too funny. :)
ReplyDeleteThank ya ma'am...I'm so excited for you guys and your new house!
DeleteIt is amazing how children are total sponges! I worry about my kids being exposed to things on TV..and then I see them speak in the exact same ways that I do when I am upset! They can often be little mirrors..right?
ReplyDeleteThey are total mirrors...and Hailey is already my mini me...like we need 2 of me!
DeleteHahaha! Glad it was only "dude"
ReplyDeleteMy sailor mouth would have gotten me into wicked trouble, for sure!
Thanks for linking up, lady! xoxo
I hear ya...I've let stuff slip out here and there...thankfully at that point and time she wasn't paying attention. You are very welcome...told ya I would!

Totally funny...sometimes we'll get her to actually repeat the funny ones!
DeleteHahaha this is my life!
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun age when you say something and immediately think "Oh crap..." then the child sits there quietly plotting and you are like "Score! He must not have heard me" He proceeds to say said bad word in front of his preschool teacher at church *facepalm*
LOL...oh no! My husband was saying stuff in front of her the other night thinking it was funny because she wasn't repeating it...I'm like, dude (he he) you are playin' with fire.
DeleteHaha...too cute!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has started saying my favorite cuss word "dammit!"
Oh lord!
